Reference address of the Tourist Promotion of Senegal
Created in 2014, the Senegalese Agency for Tourism Promotion promotes and develops the brand “Destination Senegal, Land of Teranga”.

MISSIONS:
Promote tourism;
To implement the policy of Tourist Promotion defined by the State;
To reinforce the attractiveness of Destination Senegal;
Stimulate internal tourism;
To establish technical and financial partnerships necessary for the initiatives and promoters of activities supporting the promotion of tourism;
To elaborate and carry out specific action programs for the promotion of tourism;
To ensure the permanent availability of information on “Destination Senegal”;
To develop tourist products and to participate in the improvement of the quality of the services offered to the professionals;
Coordinate Senegal’s participation in international events;
Set up a permanent monitoring and analysis system for the issuing markets;
To accompany the hoteliers and tourist promoters installed in Senegal in the development and the promotion of their offers;
To provide the public with general information on the Destination and its tourist offer;
Organize promotional events for the destination (eductours, press trips among others).
PROMOTIONAL TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS:
– A label “Destination Senegal, Land of Teranga” which acts as an umbrella brand for all Senegalese tourism actors;
– A multilingual web portal;
– Generic and thematic promotional materials (by tourism cluster and by niche products);
– Media and non-media campaigns in Senegal and abroad in the target markets;
– Partnerships with airlines and publishers of magazines or tourist books;
– Participation in international trade fairs for professionals and the general public.

ASPT’S ACTION PLAN FOR THE BIENNIAL
In order to take advantage of the benefits offered by the Biennale platform in terms of visibility of Destination Senegal, ASPT intends to carry out the following activities
Organization of a Welcome Day (gastronomy and cultural services) chaired by the Minister of Tourism to mark the contribution and presence of the tourism sector;
Promotion of Destination Senegal through the communication media of the event (posters, promotional videos, etc.);
Organization of days of discovery of the Senegalese tourist poles, for the benefit of foreign journalists in charge of the media coverage of the event and/or the guests of mark;
Installation and animation of a stand in the village of the biennial (digital tools: videos to be broadcasted on the screens – terminals in the stand);
Conducting a series of public relations activities.
ASPT PARTICIPATION IN THE WORLD RUSSIA 2018
The World Cup 2018 in Russia! The “Lions of Teranga” team’s rendezvous with World Football’s great mass, from June 14 to July 15, is an exceptional opportunity to promote “Destination Senegal” not only as a benchmark tourist destination, but also as a great soccer nation.
As a member of the National Steering Committee set up by the government for the participation of Senegal in the World Cup Russia 2018, the Senegalese Agency for Tourism Promotion (ASPT) plans to organize a series of activities: cultural and artistic evenings, demonstrations and culinary, gastronomic and fashion tastings, exhibitions … in the major cities of Moscow, Kaluga, Ekaterinburg and Samara.
An attractive and appealing program to reveal to the Russian people and to the whole world the richness and curiosities of Senegal through its Art, its Culture, its Craft industry, its Gastronomy among others.
