Recreation Department

The role of the Leisure Department is to ensure that leisure activities are promoted and that leisure areas are taken into account in the development of cities and towns, in conjunction with local authorities and developers.

In this capacity, it is responsible for :

  1. Develop a consensual and participatory leisure policy;
  2. Identify, in conjunction with partners, the recreational needs and resources required to carry out the recreational programs;
  3. Encourage local authorities and partners to develop and equip recreational spaces and infrastructures;
  4. Develop a broad partnership with public structures, organizations and companies in favor of leisure;
  5. Promote the organization of community recreation and events;
  6. Revalorize traditional games inspired by Senegalese cultural heritage.

The Recreation Department includes:

  1. Programs and Partnership Division;
  2. the Division of Animation and Leisure Promotion.
